Calibra Accountancy

Company accounts and filings
for players with income off the pitch.

If your sponsorship, image rights, coaching or property income runs through a limited company, the deadlines don't wait for the international break. We keep every filing clean and on time.

When a company makes sense

A company is a tool, not a trophy. It has to earn its place.

Plenty of players are told to set up a company the moment a boot deal lands. Sometimes that's right. A limited company can be the sensible home for image rights, sponsorship, media work, coaching, a soccer school or property held for the long term. It can also create filing obligations, extra cost and HMRC attention you don't need if the income is small or short lived.

We give you a straight answer on whether a company helps in your position, and if you already have one, we run it properly. Statutory accounts, the Corporation Tax return, the confirmation statement, payroll if you take a salary, and dividend planning so money comes out in the most efficient order rather than whenever the account looks healthy.

Get the filings wrong and the penalties are automatic and public. Companies House late filing starts at £150 and climbs, HMRC adds its own, and a struck-off company can freeze income that's already been invoiced.

Why Calibra Sports

Filings kept clean while you focus on the season.

Nothing filed late

We hold the calendar and chase the information, so automatic penalties never reach your inbox.

Defensible, not aggressive

Image rights and company arrangements built on real commercial substance, because HMRC looks closely at sport.

Tax across both sides

We look at company tax and your personal position together, so extractions are planned around your club income.

Built for a short career

Advice that considers what happens after the last contract, not just this year's numbers.

How it works

A year that runs itself.

One conversation up front, a light-touch routine through the year, and filings that land early every time.

  1. Step 01

    Company health check

We review your company, its filing history and how income currently flows, then tell you what needs fixing.

  2. Step 02

    Set up the routine

Bookkeeping, invoices and receipts organised in a way that takes minutes a month rather than a lost weekend.

  3. Step 03

    Accounts and returns

We prepare the statutory accounts and Corporation Tax return, review them with you, and file both ahead of deadline.

  4. Step 04

    Plan the extraction

Salary, dividends, pension and timing planned around your personal tax position for the year ahead.
